What my 28 Reels taught me

By Davi Andrei · published Nov 7, 2026 · updated Nov 8, 2026

Between Oct 7 and Nov 7 I published 28 Reels on my tech profile. The numbers come straight from Instagram and are from Nov 7, 2026.

The numbers

  • 28 Reels, with 5.2M views added up.
  • Median of 33.6K views: half of the Reels stayed below that.
  • The highest had 1.2M views, 35 times the median.
  • 9 passed 100K views and 7 did not reach 10K.
  • The profile has 19.3K followers.

A few Reels pull almost everything

The four most viewed add up to 63% of all views. The average misleads: it rises with whatever went viral and hides the ordinary video. That is why I look at the median.

7 Reels stayed under 10K. They count too.

Views, reach and shares

Views count how many times the video was played, including the same person more than once. Reach counts how many different accounts saw it. A share is when someone sends the Reel to another person.

The most shared Reel was also the most viewed: 48,292 shares for 1.2M views.

What I do with this

I write the numbers down so the next video comes out better, and I go through them in the mentoring. The most viewed Reels are in the portfolio.
